For the occasion of the 1949 Chicago Railroad Exposition.
268 was dressed in the Silver & Gold colors of the Standard Gauge passenger train "The Prospector" and named "Montezuma". Also painted in the new scheme was business car B-3, which was named "General William Jackson Palmer".
