From about 1903 or so on the service was much the same as the San Juan except:
-"walkover" seats in coach
-open platform cars
-no electric lights
-no steam heat (coal stoves in coach, Baker Heaters in Parlor cars)
-no on-board meal service (lunch stop, at Chama AFAIK)
-up until about '22 or so service continued on to Silverton at times, mostly in Summer months.
The parlor cars were the cars that wound up on the Shavano after being (slightly) upgraded in '36-'37.
Much more variation before 1902, including use of Pullmans (routed via Salida & the Valley line after the middle rail was pulled Pueblo-La Veta and before the the new Std ga line to Alamosa was completed[1890-1902, aprox])
Train #s were 115 & 116 for almost all of the post 1902 period, std ga connection was 15/16 (Denver-Pueblo, continued on to Grand Jct) & 115/116 (Pueblo-Alamosa section)
Running times Alamosa to Durango were reduced, (about 2 hrs) after the rebuilds in the early 20's & the arrival of the Sports Models.
