You were there just a year after my wife and I were in 1999 (the year you screeched to a halt right in front of me in Chama as I was about to walk across the main street there). I presume you got to Gato via the gravel roads; we had decided, the day after seeing you, to follow and drive on the ROW wherever possible. On ROW in Dulce, ran out of pavement at Navajo Tank, road got bad (big thunderstorm the night before). Swam the 4x4 through a long mud slide en route but followed the line all the way to Carbon Jct. and then down to Farmington.
