That's good news Tyler.
She's one fine little filly - probably the prettiest standard gauge ten-wheeler we have left. In contrast, her nickname - which I will not utter here - ranks among the greatest disgraces to ever befall an iron horse.
I have fond memories of her in 1999. I was working the switchman's extra board in Ft. Worth for BNSF. I was cut off from home and found a spot down there to work until things picked up back home.
I distinctly recall sitting in my motel room on the north side of Ft. Worth one afternoon late that winter when I heard what sounded like a steam whistle. I opened the door and to my amazement I was right! Needless to say I gave chase and the rest is a fond memory.
Lets hope they fixed her up right and that she'll outlast that confounded nickname.
