I'm glad to see the old gal back on her feet. I had some good times running her in 1998-9. It was fun to duke it our with big boys at the interlocking plants at Haltom City and Tower 60. Heading back to Grapevine at midnight with the July 4 fireworks specials, charging wide open up the hill to Bransford Park while mother nature's own fireworks lit up the sky to the south. Cool stuff.

The best trip was the offline trip to Granbury in April 1999, coming back up the 2% grade of Waples Hill to Cresson. Throttle in the tank, Johnson Bar about halfway down, making about 18 mph, both injectors running wide open, it was awesome. Over the top, we rolled along at 45mph+ on the welded rail to Ft. Worth. 2248 never ran better, it was her finest hour.
