It would seem possible, at first glance. You would have to use 485's cylinder saddle and rework the rear of 496's main frame where it's bolted to the frame extensions - and salvage 485's frame extensions. A lot would depend on other damage to 485 as well, for any part not directly interchangeable with the 37s. *IF* this had happened, what would've been the likely fate of 489, the major benefactor of 485's plunge?

Did a search for "K-37 frame" and found several interesting and related threads (and fairly recent, last couple years). Worth checking out.
