This seller has sold many builders plates on E-Bay and I could not find any bad feedback from buyers of the plates. He has surely done his homework on back stamping of plates but probably doesn't know what the "code" means. I would still avoid any dealings on this plate. The seller mentioned he got this plate from a Sherman Mcallister. I wonder if that was the Mac Mcallister who had a large scale live steam operation in North Boulder. He passed away many years ago and his railroad collectible collection was sold off by his heirs. Anybody out there that knew him and his operation have any clues?
