When UP844 came through Houston, they used a 1" water hose to fill one of the tenders, they told me it would take all day and them some to fill it that way .... here's a question ... when tanks were used in a busy mainline service, how long did the tanks take to recover, I realize that some were filled by gravity from streams/springs, but those with city water, I think got refilled a little quicker?
