The standpipe in Ogden is still operational, although it is connected to the city's water line. Whenever the steam program heads west over Sherman Hill and through Weber Canyon (or even on the D&RGW through Helper) they always stop at Ogden because of the convenience.

An operational standpipe really comes in handy when restoring steam engines, too!winking smiley
