Thanks for pointing out the picture in RGS X. That looks like my spur 2 on the map. Too bad it doesn't show a little bit more of it. I would have liked to have seen the side by side bridges (42B and 42BS as described in vol III). From the text, we find that mining timbers, some ore and also grain was shipped from this site in the 1890s.
I have hiked the Ames to Butterfly section a couple of times now. I ran into some mountain bikes on it the last time.
BTW - my one published photo is in Vol. XII on page 347. It is hard to believe that I made it into the RGS Story with a modern photo.
