A 20 degree curve is the same as 287.94 foot radius. (The central angle of a 100' long cord is 20 degrees.)
The A=226'24 notation the usual way of denoting the total central angle of a curve. Instead of a (') the symbol should be a degree circle (°) that is not on the normal keyboard. As you will recall a complete circle is 360 degrees, so this curve is about 5/8 of a complete circle (226/360). Also a degree is divided into 60 minutes (denoted by the single tick mark, as one would denote a foot). Then each minute is divided into 60 seconds (denoted by a double tick mark, as one would denote an inch). Thus a curve might be noted as 226°24'00".
