Dick:
I do read the minutes and all the other information that is posted on the Friends website. The last BOD minutes posted are from October 2006 which seems to me is a long time to get this information out to the membership/ general public. I know Curt has a lot on his plate with all the work session Pics, news releases, and other tasks involved with a website. My beef is more with the Commission as they don’t seem to have any information that is readily available online and other than requesting things from the Antonito office or being at a meeting how would anyone ever know what they are planning or discussing?
So what we end up with is a private corporation in the operator that does not publish minutes to the public that I am aware of, the commission that generates cryptic agendas (i.e. engines for sale) and the Friends who do a good job of publishing information but not as timely as they probably should. At least when your buddy in Chama was publishing the Commission minutes we had a glimpse of what they were doing but that has apparently fallen by the wayside now too. All I am saying is a little better and more timely information flow would go a long way to making the 3 Triad organizations more transparent. If they want to improve their image and get more support (and have less rumor and negative publicity) then they need to make a commitment to getting information out and seeking input from the public who has a very real stake in the decision making process. My 2 ½ cents.
