In UK it is permissable to run trains with head and tail locomotives, that is, one at each end, facing different ways.
That way you can reverse the train without needing any loco to run round. So you could run Osier all the way down to Lobato with a head and tail train, which would simply reverse at Lobato without any fuss or trouble.
Of course you are using two locos, but that is quite normal during high summer on this line.
The Welsh Highland Railway has used this system of operation for special trains often during the rebuild which is now within three months of completion for the whole 25 miles.
