You can follow portions of the Chili Line out of Santa Fe by taking Buckman Road north. This will lead you to the former Buckman town site and the Rio Grande River. Maintained gravel road is passable in a car. Other trips include going to Espanola and north though Embudo. Take a left north of Taos and cross over to Tres Piedras and further to Antonito. ROW can be seen in many places. Last Saturday my wife and I rode the SFS to Lamy and return. Nice 3 hours! Try the Green Chili Stew at the Lamy depot during the lunch layover. It's outstanding!
