It's not ROGER's place, it's BARBARA's place.  Ol' Roger-the-Codger is out stalking Eagles or Elk or Badgers or Steam Locomotives all day, and then fussing with PhotoShop all night.

THE (Shamrock) HOTEL is really Barbara's place (thank goodness!)

The rooms are small, the walls are thin, and the floor creaks - and it's WONDERFUL for those of us who like warmth and charm and friendly people - but it's not for the fussy sort who want all the luxuries and sterile emptiness of the big chains.
