I myself will be doing my part to come down and ride the C&TS this year and I honestly think that it will start to be a turn-around year for ridership. Yes the economy is still suffering, however it is starting to recover. I think you will still folks doing some long weekend vacations, as well as vacations that take advantage of things not only in our country, but as well as in our backdoor steps.

I think it is honestly a great time for Narrow Gauge Railroading in Colorado. The D&S have started with their first train to Silverton for the season, the SN rebuild is seeming to gain some 'steam', the GTL has steam back on the line after a few years off, and the C&TS are doing some fantastic and amazing events throughout the year to make the 40th Anniversary. There are also some great events happening this year at the Colorado RR Museum (Germanfest and the Wine and Cheese Train). Team that with Russo's Spring Time in the Rockies...I think that there will be amazing things to come on all of Colorado's steam (both standard and narrow).
