Just as an experiment, I e-mailed the Friends asking how 483 could be restored by the 40th Anniversary weekend. To his credit, Jim Tennant replied almost immediately stating 483 would not be running and another locomotive would be renumbered. Am I alone in thinking that should have been mentioned in the press release?

Regardless, it should be a rootin tootin good time. Have to miss it though. We'll be back in Chama when Eureka or 463 is running there, for sure.
