During the Friends of C&TS work sessions this past August, I was team leader for the phone booth restoration project. Part of our work involved locating the booths as accurately as we could. I took GPS readings at all of them, and my wife counted rail lengths to three of the booths (at Cresco, Coxo, and Apache Canyon) from the nearest milepost marker. We used a measuring tape to check the lengths of a few rails at those locations so we could use an accurate multiplier, and all the rails we measured were 30 ft long.
