I have a Kodak DC220 (dead after a year) and a Kodak DC3200 (Dying after 5 months and 1,400 shots. GREAT cameras, the price is right, and in spite of the problems, I'll probably hope that Kodak is getting better at it and upgrade to the latest and greatet Kodak! ALL of my digital pics for TrainCams were made with these cameras.
The DC3200 figures out for itself what the light needs are, although it has a setting for 'auto', 'daylight', 'tungsten', 'flourescent'. You should get those feaures. Also it has a setting for ISO if you want to use it. I never have.
I would go for something that uses flash memory cards. They are pretty universal and can be used on more than one brand of camera. I'd avoid any of those that require a proprietary memory card or stick. PLan on buying an extra memory card- the biggest you can get.
I won't be going for the ones that use floppies or tiny CD's. Too awkward in the field.
