Hi, again -
IIRC, the last trainload westbound over Cumbres, on August 28, 1968, was indeed drilling materials.
The train was all boxcars - no pipe gons or idler cars - so it was probably all drilling mud chemicals.
(See [
ngdiscussion.net].) IIRC, these cars were taken to Farmington on 08/31 - the very last revenue
freight on the D&RGW narrow gauge (see [
ngdiscussion.net]).
The eastbound train on August 29 consisted of 17 boxcars of lumber. A flatcar carrying a bulldozer was picked up somewhere between Los Piños and Antonito, as it appears in my shots east of Lava Tank but not at Apache Crossing.

p.s. What size files do you need? If they're just for video - and not prints - the resolution doesn't need to be too high, so I can probably just send them as attachments to an e-mail or two.
