All very interesting. A few questions though, do I not remember a FU letter sent by the Ashby's son-in-law years ago to CHS(a scanned image was posted on the "save the train" website) as well as statements made that he would not bid on the operation...almost as though to make a point? Rhetorical it all is as these events did transpire, whether or not they have since been removed from the respective databases is the only question.
Next, Railstar did not fold, they were on bad terms with CHS because the 12 work was taking longer and costing more. The straw that broke the camels back was the undermining done via lies conveyed to CHS by there then and no operations manager. He won CHS over via his mistruths to the point railstar and then Graybell were informed they had no choice but to employ him. This past season would have been a banner one otherwise.
All the work on 111 boiler was documented, including the crack repair. A flaw came up in an x-ray, a ruling had to be made as to whether or not it had to be re-welded, it was re-welded and is now fine...quite simple really.
The nameless source referred to of the rick steele post is phil johnson. I have heard most all of the same commentary from him and he is the only new personality introduced to the 111 mix in march, that place is kept under tight wraps.
My sources said I could use there names but I choose not to.
