In the olden days, before I discovered 12"/foot scale, I had a couple of HO and HOn3 track gauges
that had a single pin on one side and two pins on the other. The single pin was placed against the
inside rail, and the outer rail was then "automagically" bowed out just a bit to widen the gauge on
curves. In principle, this should work in 12"/foot scale, whether the gauge is 4'-8½" or 3', but have
such three-point gauges ever been used in 'real life' to make it unnecessary to add spacers to two-
point gauge bars on curves?
