Hello Guys,
I have been doing some researching into the Apache Railroad of Arizona. The railroad started in Holbrook, AZ and ran south to Snowflake, AZ. The line then went to McNary, AZ where the Apache Lumber Company had a mill.Apache Lumber eventually was bought out and became part of Southwest Lumber Mills which also had operations in Flagstaff. I am aware that the Apache operation was the largest and longest lasting logging railroad in the state of Arizona. The lumber company then had a railroad that ran to Maverick, AZ a company logging town from McNary. I am seeking any information about the logging line from McNary to Maverick including spurs and such. I can trace out the main line from McNary to Maverick but I noticed numerous spurs and branches that come off the main. Does anyone have knowledge or pointers on this operation?
I am sorry if this may be out of topic for the forum, but this was a pretty interesting little operation and is worthy of discussion.
Thank you for any information.
