A bit of background history.
Salida until WWII had two turntables and two roundhouses..one narrow gauge and one standard gauge. During WWII, the old ng roundhouse and turntable were demolished. At that time. Narrow gauge rails were added to the standard gauge turntable (making 4 rails) and a few stalls in the standard gauge roundhouse were modified for narrow gauge engines.
The attached photo taken by R B Jackson in 1956 from the Colorado RR Museum files shows some narrow gauge only tracks coming off the turntable and some with 4 rails (where the standard gauge 2-8-0 is parked).
