On the GFRR Chloe - does OERM play to operate her?
I have not heard the narrow gauge crew talk about operating the Chloe.
They have made a presentation to the Board and got approval to work restoring the "Emma" to operation. This makes it an official Museum project that has institutional support. The primary donors are the supporters and members of the ng crew.
The work is being done in small steps. Current project is restoring air brakes to the tender -- Ward had removed them. Previous projects include casting up new cab steps. Also casting and installing a new drawbar casting on the locomotive -- the removed a binding action that made switcher her around a pain. The boiler has been surveyed and the extent of necessary work is known.
The Chloe is offsite in preparation of being part of an multiple month exhibit that opens on the 16th at a notable Southern California museum. More next week when it opens.
