I would say 1940-1968. I don't really care for the early days old tea kettles that much, and roads would have been just that much worse before 1940. Thinking like a photographer, we would have a great selection of power, all the branch lines and RGS, Salida and SG steam as well as the NG, and the cars would have been a bit better for photographing all this stuff than in the early days. I would love to have seen 4 engine trains on Marshall pass(Stock extras mostly I think with that much power).
Still happy to have seen what I did from 1956 onward, although its been over 12 years since my last visit...guess its about time.
