I guess I missed the point about the movies being shown in either Chama or Antonito. Obviously the house rental costs would be lower, provided you could find a theater with reel-to-reel projectors (how are you with carbon arc lamps?). If there is a theater in either community, do they still have their reel-to-reel projectors. When platters came along, the old Simplex projectors often went into the trash can.
Don't ahve a theater pipe organ? Well, in a pinch you could rent an electronic substitute. You'd need to find a theater organist who has experience in film accompaniment (essentially improvising for extended periods of time)
Unfortunately, I cannot offer any ideas for getting around the actually film rental costs. Last time I checked (several years ago), I think the rental fee was $800 per film, so if it has not gone up further, you are looking at a minimum of $1,600 just in film costs and how to in film rental costs.
