Hi,
If I fly, it will be to Albequerque. I've done it for 8+ years (since 1994/5). My last time out, I had a dirt cheap airline fare and the junk fees for Denver on the rental car and tickets made it more than the fare to Albequerque. I won't be flying into Denver anytime soon even if it means I need to give up the CRRM and Georgetwon.
I'm trying to find out about Amtrak Railroad Stations. I've called at Denver and at Grand Junction from Amtrak. When I arrived at Grand Junction, I called the rental car company at the airport and they sent a car to the station for me (it was in 1984).
It sounds like Dallas is a definate no. Thanks for the driving info. I'd rather spend it on the train.
I can look up Amtrak station addresses in El Paso, Albequerque, Pueblo, etc by using the Amtrak schedule. However I do not know if they are in a good part of town, I guess I can lppk up if they are attended from the schedule, how close rental cars may be, and what might be around to visit.
Does anyone know about the railroad stations for inter-city travel?
Thanks again.
