No insurance money, no contract awarded

March 16, 2011 06:02PM avatar
I notice over at Da Gote Jay has posted that based on info from the Commission meeting that the insurance company has yet to deliver a check, and that an actual contract for the bridge rebuiding is awaiting an agreement between the Commission and NMDOT.

Hopefully somebody with more information can tell us whether these are real problems, or if we are seeing the "delays" associated with normal expected routine.

One of the things I hate about following the C&TS is most real news starts at Da Gote because Jay is there and highly motivated to post his version of the "news", but you never know for sure what is happening until somebody with more information and/or less bias weighs in on some other internet place, like the FOCTS website, here, or even the Ashpit.

Oh well, such is the fate of fan of a small railroad based in the Peyton Place of railroading.

I'm posting this only in hopes of stirring up some additional facts, since things seemed to be going so well. And maybe are in fact going that well.
