Curtis,
I had heard about the tanks several years ago from a friend, but hadn't seen them till a couple months ago. A group of us went off into the woods looking for a rumored locomotive, we were hot on the trail but lost the grade, and decided to take a look at the tanks on the way back. Both are buried about halfway up and have boulders and stuff around them. The Candellarea's tender is pretty much origional looking, but I think the Tonopah tank has been modified. I don't really remember a lot about them, and unfortunately didn't have my camera along. Like I said though, they are in pretty good shape, very small amount of rust for being in a river, and they were solid enough to easily support my 168 pound weight. I'll have to get some photos next time I'm up there.
Thanks, Taylor
