Steve...Check out the horizontal bars bolted under 18's journal slots on the suspension. Bars are removed, engine/rigging is carefully lowered onto the journals/wheelsets, bars are replaced, tightened. The equalized wheelsets can still move up and down inside the slots but cannot fall out.

PS...that is one sweet little engine, rode behind it last June.
