Caption reads as fallows from RGS story vol IX.
The next to last revenue freight train to run on the south end of the RGS was heading westbound en route to Delores, and Bob Richardson was on hand to photograph it on December 17, 1951.Leased D&RGW mudhen 464 was hauling the last two carloads of automobiles to Dolores, pushing fresh snow off the lighter creek trestle. The new highway span had been completed at great expense, and in about a year it would be junked.
