Greetings:

Yes, I have read that the N-C-O and SV didn't exchange cars. I think it was Herman Darr who observed that perhaps the not-interchange of cars was due to different coupler heights.

However, when the N-C-O was firmly in control of the Sierra Valley line the cars were interchanged.

Also, the Feather River Lumber Co. (I think) ran their own log trains on this N-C-O branch line on occasion.
