I was in the Harz at the same time on my way to a 0-scale model railway convention in Buseck near Frankfurt a.M
I was so fortunate (maybe unfortunate) to come across a couple of Bernd Seiler interesting trains on my way around the lines of the Harzer Schmalspurbahn. But it seem like no other than Bernd Seiler’s party was allowed to be in the Harz at that time.
Some of the participants of the excursion was very aggressive against other railway enthusiasts, and some even experienced vandalism on their cars as a strange (childish) kind of revenge for taking pictures of the excursion trains.
I have photographed trains in the Harz since 1984, in the old GDR days, and I never experienced this kind of aggression from the East German police, rail road authorities or military. So it is a little strange to experience this today.
I am of course aware that this can't be the official policy of Bernd Seiler’s company, but the behaviour of some of the excursion participants gives his company a bad reputation amongst railway enthusiasts.
Here is a couple of other trains in the beautiful Harz in the springtime.
