We have not touched the Coloroado cars. They have been evaluated by an expert and we have recommendations on what needs done and generally how to proceed. We started on working on Combine #14 in late 2005 but halted that project in 2006 when we found out how much work it was going to take. The crew was moved to the boxcar #168 conversion for 2007 and 2008 and just finished it up in October. They are now going full steam on #14.
#14 will be our test bed with wooden passenger cars as it is the first we have restored. What cars will be next after #14 has not been decided. If I had to bet, it would be that Combine #15 will get the same treatment next, then may be Combine #16 (if we can get to the EBT) or Combine #18 (from Colorado) but that is just my guess.
the Colorado cars are still cocooned and stored in the EBT Car Shop for the near future. You can see them if you take the Shop Tour at the EBT.
