My father and I went exploring along the San Juan Extension this summer and found this bridge. It's north of Arboles along 151 (see map at bottom).
My first thought was obviously this must be the ROW. However, it's too far north of Arboles to have been part of the main. Was this a logging spur? If so, it's a rather nice steel bridge for a spur.
It seems very unlikely that the bridge was moved here after abandonment for vehicle use because of the effort needed to build the abutments and supports. Besides, there's no decking on it.
Does anyone know the story here?
