That does seem plausible.
However, it seems rather narrow for a vehicle bridge. Would you build such a large structure for one lane?
In any case, it wasn't there in 1993 so that should close the book on any narrow gauge involvement.
Although, if anyone ever figures out the real story I'd like to know.
