Thanks Brian. I do have Google Earth and I have been using it to trace old railway grades all over the place. Great tool. I found the refinery you are talking about and the roads.

Are you saying the Casa Grande Ry was a plantation railway? If they were using engines like this ALCO then it must have been some plantation railway. I'm used to seeing plantation railways look like the ones in Hawaii with little 0-6-0s or even the GTL #12.

Can you expland a little on the extent of this railway? Any remains?
