Hello Mr. Cutter and Foundation. Being a business man and utilizing lawyers, you soon realize anything in the world you do can bring a law suit against you. So either you can hide away and be scared or take on a monumental task of preserving and operating history like you and the Historical Foundation have done. Railroad operation's would not be alive today, if concern for litigation was always first on the operators mind.Why does C&TS RR operate a Rotary? Why does the Royal Gorge have no safety protection on top of their open cars? Why does Durango allow outside owned equipment to run on their line? All of these are law suits waiting to happen, but some overlook this risk to allow people the chance to enjoy life. I applaud all of these railroads for offering a little more than just a train ride in a fully armored and padded car. Although there are some that find it easier to criticize people's dreams and ambitions (or sue them for it), don't let this take away from what you all have done. I have truly enjoyed your web site and desire to be the first one that rides up by train and down by raft. I promise my family, nor I will not bring any style of suit against you or the Foundation (keep this letter, it is a binding contract). I have been down the Rio Grande before and have no concern of dying in the two foot depth of water. But I guess if you are genetically short this could pose a problem. PS - Put me down for dinner train tickets too. Best of luck.
