I have been over Monarch Pass three times.
The first time I wasn't aware what interesting history there was here. (My favorit is Colorado & Southern)
All I saw was the switchback below the mine, and when I came back home I looked it up in my books and on the internet.
So when I was ther a year ago I had to do a stop an take some pictures.
I was on my way from Mears Junction to Gunnison.
I often do some Then and Now pictures from the places I have visited, here is some from Mears Junction.
