the reson they are odd looking is that they are a variation on an U.S. army 0-6-0 desine whitch was not geared tword looking good. but rather tward being compatible with restrictive loading gauges in erope

i do have to say that double cross compound compressors are a little mutch for the front of sutch a small engine but the grades on the line did warrant sutch air capacity
