It is a Otto Perry picture,(OP-12748) and it is of the Midland Terminal RR taken Feb 16, 1949. THe engines are former US Army
0-6-0s which the MT turned into 2-6-0's. #66 is in front followed by #64. The picture is taken at the water tank at Midland, which is where current Colo hwy 67 gets up on the railroad grade,(except the tunnel) to go south to Gillette. The train is northbound from Cripple Creek to Colorado City. There are several others in the collection from the same run. The MT has already made the last passenger runs on January 27 and February 6, and now they are cleaning up the last cars on line before turning it over to the scrappers. I belive that the last ore train ran the next day, February 17, 1949 and that was it.
