Stainless..now that's interesting and expensive too. Some types of water treatment actually require stainless as the composition of the water is so aggressive to carbon steel that it will not last a decent length of time,hence the use of stainless. Reverse osmosis is one. We had a new plant @ Chevron with a 40' high SS product water tank and I was told it was the biggest stainless vessel in the entire Corporation.
I would like to know the reason for this construction. Solely for longevity? Thanks for bringing this one up here.
