According to the history section in the Baldwin Locomotive Works Illustrated Cataloge (1900) they infer that the first outside frame locomotive that they built was the Antofogasta Railway #20 (Chili) 2-4-2 30" gauge (BLW #8215) in Nov. 1886.
The Franklin & Magantic #2 0-4-4T, 24" gauge in Maine, also built by Baldwin (BLW #8304) came in Dec. 1886.
