I can answer this question.
#6 was the first steam locomotive that I ever worked on, I started out my railroading career at Pine Creek as a fireman. The generator on the rear was used for train line lighting when the Christmas trains would run late after dark.(and the annual night run for members) We used to run until everybody in line got to ride, we stopped doing it that way because we would start at 11 am and go to 10 pm or later. (park closed at 4pm) The 2-6-2 SS&SH #26 also has (had?) one.
#6 has been out of service for a number of years for a smokebox replacement and front truck rebuild. Last time I had seen it it was still on blocks, good to see from the photos it has its front truck back under it.
