The N de M did receive several Narrow Gauge 2-6-6-2's which looked for all the world just like a C&O loco that somehow got shrunk down to 3' gauge. Pics of these are in Gerald Best's book on Mexican Narrow Gauge. It's a shame they are all gone... wouldn't one of those look good climbing up around Ophir Loop to Lizard Head (or Cumbres Pass for that matter...)
