Well Gentleman,
I am a big fan of articulateds and have visited all three that still exist from the Donna Christia coal hauling railroad.
One is nicely stuffed and mounted, one is in bad shape due to being left out in acid rain from the bad coal power plant. But one is going to be running again soon.
The 204 in the branch of our preservation group ABPF in Rio Negrinha retubed the boiler last year and my friend here, the former master mechanic from the Donna Christia was sent a cell phone video of the front engine unit being spun with steam. From the one photo, and many other detail photos that I have, I can imagine it is a big job to get all the flexible steam piping to seal properly after being stored outside for years. This will be no muesem quality restoration, just heavy running repairs without taking all the engine units apart.
When it runs, and I know about it, you can be sure that I'll be there with photo and video. Back channel me if you want more detail photos or a book recommendation.
