That is not the Peanut Mine, it is the Pershing Mine which was opened in 1919 and abandonded in 1929. The Peanut Mine was around the curve about Peanut Lake. There was still mining activity at the Peanut Mine site in the 90s, but I haven't been there in a while, so do not know if anything is going on now.

I have photos of the Pershing Mine during the construction in 1919, but they have not been scanned and I do want to post them until my books is completed.
