You said "but the last two 315 trips I have ridden had severl hills dotted with free loaders. One runby near Antonito the guy even drove his 4wd to the photo line and joined in. I will be riding on the 7th."
I have a problem with the term "free loaders" I know of folks that have ridden the train many times and now they enjoy chasing the train. does that mean they don't care about the train or that they don't support it.
Charters & special trains - If someone does not know the area very well, or wants that special run by they he is IMHO better off riding the charter. If the person knows the area very well and knows the shots he wants and that is not where there will be run by,s what is wrong with him chasing the charter and getting the photos he is looking for.
IMHO interfering with a photo line is wrong, but going to different spots to get the photo you want is OK.
Take John West and Russo, Loco they pay and ride and they also are avid supporters of the railroad. They very well might of been one of the "dotted with free loaders" SORRY but I don't think so.
Just my opinion no more no less.
