Matt,

Where you be from and where you want to speak? smiling smiley

Here in the Midwest, it's pronounced 'CON-a-co' with the 'con' like in condominium. Farther out west, lots of pronunciations seem to change, esp. among the rails themselves. Rio Grande was reportedly pronounced 'RYE-o-grand-E' by the employees.

Anyway, Google "conoco pronunciation" and the definitive rules say, "Conoco (KON-ə-kō) Continental Oil company". (From [www.loc.gov])

Hope this helps, but as I said, where are you speaking? You'd better learn to talk like the locals pronounce it. winking smiley

Chuck
